Official strategic advisory body of the project for scientific, technical and policy issues. It is the high-level strategic mentoring board, coherently continuing the heritage of the BLUEMED Initiative, assisting the Steering Committee, addressing the BLUEMED project’s achievements, its developments, priorities, new visions and integration among initiatives, and counselling the project all along.

Composition: chair and vice-chair of the BLUEMED Initiative Strategic Board; representative of the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), with a specific role of connection and communication with non-EU countries; representatives of relevant international/intergovernmental institutions. And as observers, a representative from the EC DG-RTD and a representative from EC DG-MARE.
